Content writers are more important than ever

You ever read an article and think, "Why does this sound like a motivational poster had a baby with a thesaurus?" That's AI for you.

It can't be only fast-paced, it’s a "fast-paced vibrant landscape." And don’t even get me started on "delve." If I see one more piece telling me to "delve into the realm of nuanced perspectives," I might just lose it. I don’t delve. I don’t know anyone who delves. Sherlock Holmes delves. The rest of us just Google.

It's like it loves to be your tour guide sometimes too. "Embark on a journey" it says. Where are we going? The fridge? Embark on a journey to find the remote, more like. And everything is always "pivotal" or "crucial." It's never just important. No, no. It's crucial. Like, if you don’t read this blog post, the world might just stop spinning.

And can we talk about "unveiling"? Every piece of AI text is unveiling something. "Unveiling the secrets of a quintessential paradigm." I don’t want to unveil anything. I just want to know what time the football starts.

Moreover, and this is a big one. AI loves "moreover." It’s like it went to posh school and can't stop showing off. No one uses "moreover" in real life. You don’t call your mate and say, "I had a great night last night. Moreover, the kebab was fantastic." No, you just say, "It was good. And the kebab was ace."

It’s never just a landscape it’s a "compelling, vibrant landscape." It’s not perspective it’s a "nuanced, multifaceted perspective." Alright, we get it. You're clever. Now, can you tell me something useful without sounding like a TED talk?

And if you ever see the phrase "captivating narrative," run. Just run. No one in the history of ever has described a story as a "captivating narrative" outside of an AI program trying to sell you something. Humans say, "It’s a good story." Simple. To the point. No need for verbal gymnastics.

Real humans keep it simple. We talk about the football, the weather, and why the kebab shop closed early. We don’t "delve into the kaleidoscope of quintessential paradigms in a fast-paced world."

So, next time you're reading something and it feels like you're drowning in a sea of thesaurus vomit, chances are, it’s not written by a human. It's an AI, trying its best to sound human, but ending up sounding like your pretentious cousin who spent a semester abroad and came back with an accent.

Why don't you get in touch with an actual copywriter based in Glasgow who can help write the copy and content you need for your website and social media?
